HEAR FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF LABOR REGARDING ENFORCEMENT AND BRING YOUR QUESTIONS!

There have been several dramatic changes in employment-related laws over the past several years, many affecting how hospitality industry businesses and seasonal businesses in Massachusetts pay employees. The United States Department of Labor and the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General continue to target the industry for compliance audits and have emphasized the use of stiffer penalties (such as multiple damages and civil monetary penalties) when enforcing immigration and wage and hour laws. Wage and hour law and immigration law landscape changes have also caused an increase in litigation and enforcement actions in these fields.

On Monday, May 9, 2022, the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce will sponsor an important and informative event designed to provide our membership with all of the tools necessary to comply with wage and hour laws. The event will be a hybrid event available via Zoom or in person commencing at 9:00 a.m. The event will take place and be broadcast from the CCCC offices, 5 Patti Page Way, Centerville.
